You’ve seen those photos on Instagram.

An influencer looking casually rich, sipping champagne on a private jet.

Looks amazing. Looks successful.

Then you find out a week later that it wasn't a real jet. It was a studio set in Burbank, California, that you can rent for $60 an hour just to take photos.

They looked rich, but they were actually broke.

I see the exact same thing happening with business owners here in Tunisia every week.

They show me marketing reports full of giant numbers.

"Look Dhia, we got 50,000 impressions this month!" "We got 2,000 likes on that Facebook post!"

It looks impressive. Like the private jet photo.

But then I ask the uncomfortable question:

"Okay, that’s great. But how many new paying clients did that bring in last month? How much cash is in the bank because of those 2,000 likes?"

Silence.

Usually, they have no idea.

This is the trap of "Vanity Metrics." Agencies love reporting on engagement (likes, shares, comments) because it's easy to get. It makes them look busy.

But you cannot deposit "engagement" at your bank in Tunis. Your landlord doesn't accept Instagram likes for rent.

If you are a CEO or business owner, you need to stop accepting vague reports and demand to know one number: Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).

How much did you spend in total marketing dinars to get one real human being to hand you money?

That is the only reality. That is true Digital Marketing ROI Tunisia.

If you spend 50 TND to acquire a customer who spends 500 TND with you? You are winning.

If you get 10,000 likes but zero new customers? You are just renting a fake photo set.

Stop looking at the shiny metrics that don't matter. Start demanding the metrics that pay the bills.
